-History- I On March 3, 2002, Morgana Tempest was born. She appeared normal, with dirty blond hair and big, dark brown eyes. Morgana's parents spoiled her. She was always held and played with, nurtured and cared for. Morgana learned to talk and walk like any other child. But, soon after Morgana turned two, she began acting strange. She stopped talking and began babbling once more. She didn't like to hug her mommy, or kiss her goodnight. Her parents thought it was just a stage, and that she would grow out of it. But, four months later, Morgana stopped walking, and resorted to crawling and rolling around on the floor. She no longer showed any emotion whatsoever, made eye contact, or played with her dollhouse and kitchen set. Morgana was content to sit and do nothing but hold her teddy bear, named Huggie. She was in her own little world. Her parents could barely get her to eat, and soon she stopped eating all together. After two days of not eating, and only drinking water, Morgana's mother and father finally got her to eat some buttered bread. Morgana appeared in a daze, her eyes clouded. Her parents finally took her to a doctor, who diagnosed her with Autism. Her parents were both devastated and terrified. Devastated because their daughter had a chronic mental disability, and terrified because they didn't know what was to come. II Morgana had at least three tantrums a day, over the simplest things. Her parents were tired and frustrated. They could not take it any longer. Her father, in a drunken rage, threatened to kill Morgana is she didn't stop acting weird, though he knew she could not help it. He snatched her up by her ankle and half dragged, half carried her to the car, where he tossed her into the backseat. Morgana became quiet at once, but her father didn't care that she was quiet. He drove off, and parked somewhere along the main road. He yanked open the door and grabbed Morgana, who was busy rocking back and forth. He roughly dropped her on the ground, causing her to whimper, kicked her in the stomach, and then drove off. III Morgana had been alone ever since. Part of that is because most people laugh at her because she only knows 43 words, and only speaks in short phrases, if she chooses to talk at all. Another reason is because in Morgana's mind, everyone is as mean as her daddy, and she doesn't want to get hurt, so proving to her that you won't harm her is hard.
